UNITY THROUGH ANCESTRY

Shiviko Brand Yellow Pattern 1 scaled

THE SOTHO & TSWANA CULTURES PROVIDE A MODEL OF PEACEFUL LIVING IN A FAST PACED WORLD WHERE TRANQUILITY IS PRIZED.

In Setswana, the word “Pula” is both the word for rain or a blessing, symbolising the importance of rainfall in an arid land, as well as the wealth and prosperity that comes from the nurturing forces of nature. The villa beautifully brings together the cultures of the Sotho and the Tswana people, their traditional arts and their collective spirit of unity, dignity and resilience.

Here we incorporated the beautiful shwe-shwe materials in the art, and Sotho blankets adorn the couches. Where the vibrant blues stay central to the idea of Pula, paying homage to the rain.
